The mission of the Peter Wentz Farmstead Society is to preserve and interpret an 18th century Pennsylvania German farmstead, which is on the National Register of Historic Places, by stimulating public interest and support of the site's heritage through educational programs and public events focusing on the architecture, crafts, customs and furnishings of the period. The installation of the new heating/air-conditioning system is beginning the week of January 10th and therefore we will suspend tours of the historic house until further notice. The site will remain open during the project and we invite you to stop-by during regular business hours for a visit with the animals or to enjoy a stroll along the nature trail. Please contact the site directly if you wish to schedule a meeting with the staff or to learn more about the project; we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
